Kathmandu. The talented 15-year-old Indreni Tamang, hailing from Roshi-6, Kavrepalanchok, was awarded the prestigious Public Choice Award for her song Mai Pyari Chhori at the 3rd Star Music and Films Award 2081. The daughter of Narayan Tamang and Ritika Tamang, Indreni’s victory at such a young age has made her a source of pride for her community and a promising star in the Nepali music industry.
The grand finale of the 3rd Star Music and Film Awards 2081, organized by Birisu Media Pvt. Ltd., was held with great pomp and splendor at the Film Development Board in Chabahil. The event, graced by Nepal’s first Vice President, Honorable Parmanand Jha, as the chief guest, celebrated the achievements of artists and contributors to the Nepali music and film industry. The award ceremony was a star-studded affair, attended by prominent personalities, including CPN Socialist Central Member Sangita Tamang, young leader and Ward Chairman of Khanikhola Rural Municipality Ward No. 4 Nishan Moktan, and youth leader Milan Thapa. Chief Guest Parmanand Jha praised private organizations like Birisu Media Pvt. Ltd. for their efforts in encouraging young artists and honoring veteran contributors. He stated, “Private organizations have dared to accomplish what the government has not been able to. I openly appreciate this great initiative.”
Susmita Syangtan, Director and Event Coordinator of Birisu Media Pvt. Ltd., expressed her pride in the success of the event, calling it the largest of its kind in Nepal’s history. The ceremony featured captivating performances by the Trishakti Dance Group, models Mhendo Ghising and Sirjana Ghising, and a soulful rendition by singer Krishna Raj Bhandari.The judging panel, comprising Manoj Dangol, Sivan Pokhrel, and Min Sagar Lama, ensured a fair and competitive selection process. The event was chaired by Birisu Media Pvt. Ltd.’s President, Vivek Lopchan, and hosted by journalist Karma Lama Lo.
